I primarily work in graphite and charcoal as I feel it highlights character in the shadows and shapes of an object, and the monochromatic feel brings me peace. My subject matter quite often focuses on abandoned structures such as abandoned one room school houses or small pieces of nature or animals that I encounter while visiting friends and family or taking day trips throughout the state. I hope that my artwork will pique the interest of the viewer and create a meaningful connection with often overlooked subjects or details
