My work reflects family roots of Dutch artists and craftsmen; use the local resources, appreciate the beauty in nature, apply your God given gifts to make them come together.

I work exclusively in Southern Wisconsin hardwoods, starting from a tree and working to a completed project.  Sometimes it’s the craftsman shaping and forming the natural colors and grains into a cabinet or furniture piece.  Other times, and especially in the more artistic items, the uniqueness of the wood is itself the ‘star’, and my job is simply finding the best way in which to show the beauty it contains.
