I am a professional wildlife biologist with a passion for landscape and nature photography. My career has taken me across the country but my photographic interests lie in winter, water, and panoramic scenes of the Midwest. I am especially interested in finding captivating images in otherwise ordinary settings close to my home in Southern Wisconsin.

I first developed my interest in landscapes as a child growing up in the country and accompanying my Dad on trips in rural Dane County, Wisconsin. My photography interests took off later in life when my wife and I bought a digital point-and-shoot and I began trying to digitally replicate my vision of rural landscapes. I have since upgraded my photography equipment but am still learning how to capture what I see with the camera. Photography is an artistic release from my scientific career and I take great pleasure in sharing my vision of the landscape with others.

I am a member of the North American Nature Photography Association and the National Association of Photoshop Professionals. I live in Stoughton, Wisconsin with my wife and three young children.
