My paintings are done in acrylics. I love the flexibility of the media because it allows me to mix methods used for both oil and watercolor paints. Most of my work in my paintings and drawings flows directly from my mind’s eye. When details of proportion are important I will start with a charcoal transfer preferably from my own photo.

I am a lifelong Wisconsinite who currently lives in Fitchburg WI after moving to the Madison Metro area in 2004 from the Milwaukee Area. I love my home state, its landscape and wildlife and they are a dominant theme in my art. I am a member of the Madison Art Guild and the Madison Gem and Mineral Society. My lapidary has become a sensory compliment to my drawing, painting and digital art. I am also a professional educator currently building partnerships between local school districts and parents of children with learning challenges. Only in cleaning the house do I do a day of work in my life, the rest is passion or exploration.
